Necdet AYDOGAN: Necdet is working as a consultant
in environmental technology field. He worked in multinational
companies such as Pepsi-Cola and Beiersdorf (Nivea-Hansaplast-tesa)
as sales director and general manager. He is a serious
amateur photographer with over 40 awards, including “College
Photographer of the Year 1983, USA” and “Photographer
of the Year 1991, Turkey”.
After graduating from TED Ankara College High School, Necdet
went to the U.S. for higher education. He received a B.S.
in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Industrial Management
Engineering from Kansas State University.
During his ten year stay in the U.S., Necdet
was actively involved in the community. In Rochester NY,
he volunteered
as a teacher and director for the Turkish School; acted as
a speaker and program producer at Turkish Radio; helped organize
the "1st Turkish-American Youth Conference in the US";
and served as the Vice President of Assembly of Turkish American
Associations (ATAA).
Necdet is also one of the founding members
of Community Volunteers (TOG) in Turkey and has been serving
on the Board
of Directors since 2002. He is also active in several other
nonprofit organizations, including Street Children Foundation
(UMUT Vakfi), Fight with Erosion (TEMA), Voluntary Traffic
Inspector/Police Officer, and Foreign Investor’s Association
(YASED). He also serves on the PTA of TED Istanbul College.
He is married and has a 10 year old daughter. They have
been living in Istanbul since 1996.
