She has been involved with some non-profits in Turkey (Fisek Enstitusu specializing on child labor and Barinak Gonulluleri specializing on animal shelters). She loves animals, especially cats, and enjoys feeding the Friends of Anatolia volunteers with her "borek". Ebru was a board member of Friends of Anatolia in 2005. |

ERDEM:
Ebru is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science
at Stanford University. She recently returned from a two-year
field trip to Uzbekistan and Turkey, and she is currently in
the dissertation-writing phase.
